What we do

Our Process

Stage 1 – Proactive Credit Control

Timely payments are crucial for your business, and our structured 30-day credit control process ensures your outstanding invoices are addressed professionally and effectively. We start with two soft reminder letters, one on day 1 and another on day 14. This gently prompts payment while maintaining positive client relationships. Additionally, we send SMS and email reminders every five days to keep the invoice top of mind.

Stage 2 – Legal Action & Enforcement

If a debtor fails to respond during the initial credit control stage, we escalate the process swiftly and professionally to ensure you recover what you're owed. Within 48 hours of instruction, we issue a Letter Before Action (LBA), which is a legally compliant demand for payment sent via post and email. This formal notice outlines the outstanding debt, any applicable late payment charges, and the consequences of non-payment.

Stage 3 – County Court Claim

If payment has still not been made following the Letter Before Action and Bailiff Attendance, we take the next legal step—initiating a County Court Claim to formally recover the debt. With our streamlined process, legal paperwork is completed and filed within 48 hours of instruction. The debtor then has 30 days to settle the debt before further legal action is taken. If they fail to respond within this timeframe, we swiftly secure a County Court Judgment (CCJ) within 48 hours, legally confirming their obligation to pay.

Stage 4 – High Court Enforcement

When a County Court Judgment (CCJ) has been secured but payment remains outstanding, we escalate enforcement to the High Court—maximising your chances of recovering the debt. We work with Court Enforcement Services, the largest High Court Enforcement (HCE) firm in the UK, to ensure the process is handled efficiently and professionally. The judgment is transferred to the High Court, where we obtain a Writ of Control within 2-3 weeks. This grants enforcement officers the legal authority to collect the debt on your behalf.

FAQ'S

How does your credit control process work?

We follow a structured four-stage process to recover outstanding payments: initial reminders, legal escalation, County Court claims, and High Court enforcement if necessary. Our proactive approach ensures you get paid while maintaining positive client relationships.

Will using your services damage my relationship with my customers?

Not at all. We handle all communication professionally, encouraging prompt payment without jeopardizing your business relationships. Our goal is to recover your money while keeping your reputation intact.

What happens if my debtor refuses to pay?

If initial reminders and legal notices don’t lead to payment, we escalate the case through legal action and High Court enforcement, where officers will visit the debtor’s premises to secure payment or take control of assets. We exhaust every available option to recover what you’re owed.
